Minimum Wage Increase - 2022/2023 & The Health & Social Care Levy

Once again, the minimum wage for everyone is going up from the 1st of April 2022, and the changes are below: 


The National Living Wage (23+) - From £8.91 to £9.50 per hour (Increase of 59p per hour)
21-22 Year old rate - From £8.36 to
£9.18 per hour (Increase of 82p per hour)

18-20 Year old rate - From £6.56 to £6.83 per hour (Increase of 27p per hour)

16-17 Year old rate - From £4.62 to £4.81 per hour (Increase of 19p per hour)

Apprentice rate - From £4.30 to £4.81 per hour (Increase of 51p per hour)

Everyone should also note that from the 6th of April 2022, the Health & Social Care levy comes into force, by adding a further 1.25% to Employee's NI (Up to 13.25%), Employer's NI (Up to 15.05%), self-assessment profits (Up to 10.25%)
